Emma Taylor is the General Manager of Vineyard Plants, a subsidiary of Villa Maria Estate. Emma is also the current chair of VINA the New Zealand Viticulture Nursery Association. Vineyard Plants produces high quality vines for Villa Maria and its growers and some open market clients that are certified to the New Zealand Winegrowers Grafted Grapevine Standard. When not working in the nursery Emma is also involved in some Villa Marias Viticulture Projects, this include involvement in the TANK process, looking after Water Consents for the HB region and looking at expansion opportunities. Emma is a current member of the NZW Environment Committee and was a past winner of the Young Viticulturist and Young Horticulturist of the year competition.

The first Brandy Master Blender in China, Ms Zhang has been the magic hands behind reputable Chang Yu Brandy: over 10 SKUs were created by her and team. Her innovation and patented fermentation method and a number of research papers have been inspiring for women in spirits business. She created with the team 17 brandy products while several of the flagship SKUs won international medals. Meanwhile, she is the author of various papers and books on Brandy.

As a professional viticulturist, Maria has over 20 years’ experience in the field and accumulated knowledge over China wine regions from Xin Jiang to He Bei. Her passion into R&D led her to successfully establishing the nursery in Huailai region. Maria has a professional viticulture management team of 150 people who share the same passion. Under her leadership the team adheres to the dream and philosophy of Canaan Winery, which was awarded “best vineyard management” by RVF China in 2016.
